Oversize Antique Japanese Hanging Flower Basket
Dramatic and large (36" long) flower basket built to be hung on a wall with an insert so you can enjoy your arrangements at eye level, or on a table top with a dry arrangement, similar to a horn of plenty. Early Meiji period (1868 - 1912), made of smoked and polished bamboo. Comes in original signed kiri wood storage box. Calligraphy on the box lid reads: Rattan woven hanging basket, large Hana-ire by Kinrin. Artist signature reads: Rakushoken Masayoshi.
