Wood Tray with Bat Design
In the style of Zeshin (1807 - 1891). (Zeshin was a very well-known Japanese artist who made paintings, prints, and lacquer items in his life.) Meiji period (1868 - 1912) square wood tray with applied black lacquer bat with gold and silver clover print, and applied gilt bronze bat. Signature and seal in lower right corner, difficult to read, most likely reads Zeshin. Comes with a storage box, and a book about Zeshin.
