Taisho 5 (1916), Tessai. About the artist: Tessai was a Nan ga artist from Kyoto. He had other names like Tetsuto, Tetsuro, Tetsushi etc. He became a court artist, also was a member of Teikoku Bijutsu-in. He, as a child, studied national literature and old chinese. He started drawing at the age of 18. He became an official for shrines after Meiji restoration etc. Painting dimentions: 52"h. x 20"w.
