Rare Takatoriyaki Mizusashi
This mizusashi (water container for tea ceremony), is ceramic stoneware made from a famous kiln in Takatori, located in modern day Fukuoka Prefecture. Takatori was one of the seven kilns favored by Kobori Enshu, an aristocrat who elevated the Japanese tea ceremony. The lacquer lid is also from Fukuoka Prefecture. This mizusashi includes its original sugi-wood storage box.
