Pair of Japanese Six Panel Screens: Chrysanthemums with Poem Cards
A wonderful study of various types of chrysanthemums with applied poem cards accompanied with the poets names, behind a privacy screen decorated with a raised gofun design of feathers and flowers and an abundance of gold dust. The poems are from 17th and 18th century poets and calligraphers, most are signed. These were from one person's collection and applied on these late 18th century screens for display. Mineral pigments and gold dust on mulberry paper with a black lacquer trim. Priced as a pair, can be sold separately. Measurements listed are for each screen.
