Japanese Two Panel Screen: Three Jewels of Buddhism

Meiji period (1868 - 1912) painting in ink on gold. The three jewels of buddhism are the teacher, the lesson, and the community. Loose translation of the calligraphy: Liberate and listen, the bag's end is larger [meaning later, things will be better]. Smaller calligraphy reads Shun, painted at age 83.
