Japanese Tana (Tea Cabinet)
Made of keyaki wood, a national treasure. Carved cut-out designs feature Paulownia leaves, a symbol of the Tokugawa family, and chrysanthemums, the symbol of the Imperial family of Japan. The Tokugawa were the last shogunate. The Tokugawa period, also called Edo period was 1603–1867. Original bronze hardware.
