Japanese Lacquer Cabinet
With gold mons of the Tokugawa family and all-over design, gilded bronze hardware and four drawers. The Tokugawa family ruled from the 17th to the 19th century. Most likely, this cabinet did not belong to the Tokugawa family, but to a wealthy person in high office who lived during the Tokugawa reign. From the collection of Ambassador and Mrs. Joseph Verner Reed.
