Meiji period (1868 - 1912) painting of a waterfall on the left, leading to a meandering stream amongst a hilly landscape. Lotus flowers and leaves rise above the surface, water grasses bend in the breeze, and a venerable pine stands in the foreground. Mineral pigments on mulberry paper with silver leaf clouds and a silk brocade border. Seal is partially obscured, but appears to read: Kazan.
