Japanese 19th Century Lacquer Kimono Storage Box With Gold Designs
Late Edo Period (1603 - 1868) lacquer fabric storage box with elaborate gold makie (gold painted into the lacquer) of cherry blossoms and pine branches including repeating mons (possibly a simplified version of the Tokugawa family crest). Gilt bronze hardware also elaborately decorated with the same motifs.
