Japanese 19th Century Lacquer Kimono Storage Box With Gold Designs
Late Edo Period, c.1850 lacquer fabric storage box with elaborate gold makie (gold painted into the lacquer) of cherry blossoms and pine branches including repeating mons (possibly a simplified version of the Tokugawa family crest). Gilt bronze hardware also elaborately decorated with the same motifs.
