Hereke Silk Rug
An extremely fine Hereke silk rug, hand woven in Turkey. 100% silk pile and foundation. An all over intricate design woven with exceptional quality silk. Depicting a traditional medalion, various types of flowers and palmettes on an unusual soft ivory colored ground. Accented colors include coral, champagne, cobalt blue, wheat, salmon and celedon. The main border consists of a delicate pattern on a celadon colored ground. Purchased from Fred Moheban Rug Co, 1994.
