Bronze Figure of Tanjo Butsu
Tanjo Butsu translates to Birth Buddha, which it is a small, devotional Japanese statue depicting Shakyamuni Buddha after his birth. He is shown standing, with his right arm pointing to the sky and his left hand pointing to the ground, a pose symbolizing his declaration of being the "one standing in the heavens and the earth". Translation of writing on back reads: To be in the world to teach whole people to see the Buddha.
