Bronze Bull from Tottori Temple, Kyoto Japan
This bronze akabeko (red cow) symbolizes zealous devotion to buddha and was placed at the enterance of the temple where worshippers would rub its back and head for protection. This figure has wonderful age and patina from its many years.
