Japanese Early 18th Century Woven Basketry and Lacquer Writing Box (Suzuribako)
Edo Period, c.1700 beautifully woven then lacquered box is decorated with a metal moon, wild grasses in metal and MOP, and a MOP waterfowl. Subject continues on the interior with two more waterfowl in MOP and metal. Some minor losses. Comes with a collector's box.
