Ho-Tei Sculpture
Wood gesso and lacquer sculpture of Japanese figure Ho-tei. Ho-tei in Japanese mythology, is one of the 7 Lucky Gods (Shichi-fuku-jin). He usually appears as a cheerful, Buddhist monk, with a large sometimes exposed belly, and is often accompanied by children. He is also known as The Laughing Buddha. He is a symbol of happiness, luck, prosperity and generosity.
