Japanese Antique Scroll of Crickets
Signature (on the lower right) reads: Ikkei Ukita. Ukita (1795 - 1859) was an artist from Kyoto and was known for reviving the Japanese traditional style of painting. His real name was Kiminobu Toyotomi. The first line in the calligraphy is an attestation by Chigusa Yuko (an aristorat).
