Comes with signed original storage box, shifuku (silk jacket), and document by previous owners and the artist.  Signed on its heel: Nakagawa Joeki

Metal makers, the Nakagawa family was one of the designated tea ceremony makers for the Sen family. The first generation Shoeki (1559-1622) started making tea ceremony utensils for Sen Rikyu. (Till then, Shoeki/ Nakagawa family was making casting of armour) Later, Shoeki called himself Joeki and made metal ceremony utensils including mizusashi (water carafe, water ladle, tea kettle etc)
