Fujita Lithograph of Children
signed, edition 29/100 image size 11 x 15, comes framed, Fujita Tsuguharu (1886-1968) was born in Tokyo. Known as Fujita Tsuguji, Foujita Tsuguji, and Leonard Foujita. He was a Japanese-French Print maker. He graduated from the Western-style of painting department of Tokyo School of Fine Arts in 1910. He went to Paris in 1913, returning again in 1915. He was prominently exhibited in the nineteen teens and twenties. He gained fame as an artist in the 1920s as an artist of the Ecole de Paris. During his career, he explored subject matter such as landscapes, war, children, cats, and nudes.
